Shot 6 of anchor chain is secured to midpoint of chain 2 by means of connecting ring 4 and swivel 5. Secured to shot 6 is 30- or 40-m length of rope, type HERCULES, which is connected to link 9 of shipboard anchor chain by means of hook 8. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
