FIELD: stores equipment. SUBSTANCE: rack is made up of free, non-coupled sections. Rigidly installed on common base in each section are columns located in center of base, and side uprights. Carrying levers are installed in box-shaped columns in pairs, forming tiers. Carrying levers are installed for turning in vertical plane in opposite directions, and they can rest against stops in side uprights. Counterweights on carrying levers hold the latter in vertical position in column body when rack is not loaded. Cell of rack is made ready for use when loading underlaying tier by system of drive levers, tie-rods and catches. Length of carrying levers, equal to width of cell, provides reliable operation of rack automatic devices. Metal usage is materially reduced owing to reduction by half the number of carrying levers forming the cells and their drive mechanisms, as wells as by reducing weight of side uprights whose width is half the width of column.
