FIELD: inspection of materials. SUBSTANCE: electroacoustic hardness gauge has rod with indenter, piezoexciter and piezoreceiver mounted on rod and connected correspondingly to generator of oscillations and unit for processing and recording of signals. Unit is manufactured in the form of electron phase meter and computer which computes hardness of material with allowance for measured phase of signal. Indicators of testing results are connected across output of computer. EFFECT: improved authenticity of hardness measurements. 3 cl, 1 dwg
