FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: laryngoscope has hollow handle, illuminator, which is disposed inside the handle, and light guide, which is attached to the handle. Light guide is made of optically transparent material. Part of the light guide is made in form of focon. The latter is made in form of wedge, and illuminator is made of two light sources, which are mounted symmetrically in relation to optical axis at angle of 3 deg at least to the axis. The closest surface of the light guide is formed by two surfaces, which have radiuses of curvature belonging to two reverse perpendicular planes. The second surface is made to reflect radiation. Working part of the wedge is curved and provided with a blade. Mounting seats of the light guide and handle have shape of a rectangle in their cross-section. In this case, optical axes of the focon and laryngoscope are mutual perpendicular. In specific case, illuminator of the laryngoscope may be made in form of fiber-optic light guide, which has light source, disposed outside the handle. As a variant, the illuminator may rotate about its own axis. Laryngoscope is shear enough due to simplified design and mounting. Wedge may be made in form of integral article, by means of injection moulding, of polystyrene or its copolymers, so it may be used for a long period of time. EFFECT: optimal illumination; reduced damage of tooth; comfort. 3 cl, 3 dwg
