FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has transmission mechanism connecting the stump to locking mechanism 5 of the main hinged joint. The transmission mechanism inlet is coupled with frontal wall of the receiving sleeve and its outlet is engageable with rotatable lever of the locking mechanism. The transmission mechanism is designed as four-link chain which proximal links are bound with the receiving sleeve of the femur and the distal ones are connected to the knee unit so, that the rocking shaft of the four-link chain is engageable with rotatable lever of the locking mechanism through a guide and a safety spring. Instantaneous center of rotation of the guide lever, that is femoral receiving sleeve, of the four- link chain is located in the hip joint region. Eccentric member is mounted on the rocking shaft.
