FIELD: mining industry; transportation facilities. SUBSTANCE: device to catch conveyor belt in case of its breakage has turnable supports hinge-mounted on posts and shoes to hold conveyor belt, if broken, mounted on turnable supports. The latter are made in form of two V-shaped double-arm levers, each arranged under corresponding run of conveyor belt. One arm of lever located under carrying run of conveyor belt is hinge-coupled with like arm of lever arranged under return run of conveyor belt by means of spring-loaded rod. Pressure shoes are installed on other arms of double-arm levers and are provided with pointed projections. Posts have stops to limit turning of double-arm levers in case of belt breakage. Shoes under return run of conveyor belt are installed with clearance relative to belt with conveyor operating. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
