FIELD: welding engineering, in particular, friction welding of various materials. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has clamping chucks 1 and 2 for parts 3,4 to be welded. Clamping chuck 1 is fixed on cross-piece 5, which is mounted for displacement along guides 6 fastened on body 7. Clamping chuck 1 is coupled with drive 8 for axial compression of parts 3,4 to be welded. Clamping chuck 2 fixed on spindle 9 is connected with oscillatory motion mechanism having two drive shafts 10, which are positioned in parallel with axis of spindle 9. Each drive shaft is provided with drive 11 and each has balancing weights 12 fixed on them and power eccentrics 13 connected with spindle 9 through connecting rod 14, bearings 15 and eyelets 16. Drive shafts 10 are connected by, for example, flexible transmission. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of welded product. 2 cl, 1 dwg
