FIELD: rocketry and space engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes starting the liquid-propellant rocket engine at launch, attaining the required mode of operation of engines, separating launch vehicle and flying over preset path. Upon completion of operation of engines due to utilization of one component of propellant, liquid-propellant rocket engines of first stage are cut off and component remaining in tank is transferred to hermetic reservoir. Then reservoir is separated from stage and is returned to Earth by means of recovery system. Ecological injury due to break-up of tanks at fall of launch vehicle will be minimum since both components of propellant are practically absent in tanks. EFFECT: reduction of ecological injury. 1 dwg
