FIELD: nondestructive inspection. SUBSTANCE: mechanism of setting of fault finder is manufactured in the form of two carriages with bearing rollers placed in opposition to each other. Axles of bearing rollers of carriages are inter coupled by means of spring shock absorbers. Carriages are freely coupled with the help of guiding pins to rotary ring of body of bath which ensures reliable contact of bearing rollers with pipe, removal of carriages with fault finders for passing of corrugated section of pipe and for inspection at any point of joining. EFFECT: provision of high quality of inspection at any point of section, preservation of structural integrity of device under pronounced vibrations of pipe and formation of lateral waves on its surface. 2 cl, 3 dwg
