FIELD: non-destructive test of long- length articles including pipes. SUBSTANCE: invention can be employed to scan outer surfaces of long-length articles. Mechanism installing sensors has frame with bearing rollers 2, spring-loaded carriage 9 with sensor 13 mounted between its two cheeks 3. Bearing rollers 2 are put on brackets 1. Wedge grooves 4, 6 which lower surface has radius R are made in cheeks 3 of frame to secure maximum degree of freedom for carriage with sensor. Undercutting is made in inner side of each cheek above start of wedge groove. In same uniaxial grooves 6 of each cheek there is one wedge groove having vertical wall. Carriage is mounted with the aid of suspension fabricated in the form of axles 15 placed in grooves of cheeks which bearing ends have shape of cones narrowing towards cylindrical ends. EFFECT: prolonged service life of sensors, raised accuracy of non-destructive tests. 1 cl, 2 dwg
