Chemical source has gas-diffused positive electrode made of carbon with hydrophobized barrier layer, metal negative electrode with catalyst selected from group including platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, silver, nickel, and fuel-electrolyte mixture (per cent by mass: glycerine 15-40; water 30-50; potassium hydroxide 30-45).
