FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: mixture being conveyed by an elevating conveyor with a wave-like surface is acted upon by downward-directed pulsating air jets which are concurrently moved along conveyor travel at a speed which is equal to, or higher than, the speed of conveyor travel. Air jets are applied to the mixture being separated on sections between the spaces and crests of the ascending conveyor sides. The method is realized by a device comprising elevating conveyor 1 with a wave-like surface formed by snatch rollers 6 disposed alternately above and under the upper side of elevator belt. Devices generating pulsating air jets are installed above the upper side of the belt on hollow axles 9 with cutouts or nozzles 10. Said devices have the form of positively-rotated pipes 7 with cutouts or nozzles 8. The cutouts or nozzles of axles extend throughout the width of the conveyor, opposite the pipe cutouts or nozzles.
