METHOD AND CONVEYOR FOR SEPARATION OF MIXTURE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: in conveying a mixture by a separating-elevating conveyor with a wavy surface of its working side the mixture is acted upon by pulsating air jets delivered from bottom up and simultaneously moved in the direction of travel of said conveyor at a speed which is equal to, or higher than, its traveling speed. The air jets are applied to the mixture on the sections between crests and spaces of the descending conveyor sides. The method is realized by a device comprising conveyor 1 with a wave-like belt whose surface is formed by snatch rollers disposed alternately above and under the conveyor upper side. Installed on hollow axles with cutouts or nozzles coaxially with snatch rollers 6 are devices for producing pulsating air jets. These devices are formed by positively rotated pipes 7 with cutouts or nozzles 8. The width of nozzles 8 is smaller than that of cutouts or nozzles 10 of axles. Axle nozzles or cutouts extend throughout the width of the conveyor and are positioned opposite the cutouts or nozzles of pipes. EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics. 2 cl, 2 dwg
