FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves checking the intensity of milk yielding capacity after each working cycle of the meter. Then the yielding capacity is calculated as a function of the average angular rotation speed of the working member (scoop), duration of the pause between meter pulses, angle of turn of the working member and experimental dependence of error on milk yielding intensity. The total amount of milk yielded by a cow is determined as the sum of individual corrected milk portions within each meter working cycle. The device comprises an additional microprocessor adder with error correction, connected with the reed relay of the scoop-type milk meter thus ensuring automatic programmed correction of errors in determining the milk yield. The accuracy of individual milk metering is changed by plus-minus 2% EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics. 2 cl, 2 dwg
