FIELD: mechanical working. SUBSTANCE: turret head has a stationary part with a gear ring and a rotary part with a gear ring concentrically located relative to the stationary part. The rotary part is designed for fastening a toolholder on it. The turret head also has a retaining ring with the cam face profile and a gear ring for engaging the gear rings of the stationary and rotary parts. The ring is mounted concentrically relative to the stationary and rotary parts for the axial displacement. The head also contains a roll-holder set up concentrically relative to the stationary and rotary parts for the axial displacement and for the roller interaction with the cam profile of the retaining ring, a drive engine fixed on the stationary part and geared with the pole of the planetary transmission including the planetary gear wheel mounted on the pole and the central gear wheel, the indexing crankpin mounted for interacting both with the movable member of the actuating mechanisms and with the cradles of the preliminary notation of the rotary part relative to the stationary one and the power spring for transferring the force to the roll-holder in the position of engagement of the gear rings of the stationary and rotary of engagement of the retaining ring. In this case the retaining ring is connected with the stationary part, is fixed from the turn and is spring-loaded in the direction of the roll-holder which is mounted for the restricted angular turn relative to the stationary part, and the planetary transmission is equipped with the second central gear wheel with the gear ring on the roll-holder. There are transducers of the position control of the movable part, of the roll-holder and of the movable member of the actuating mechanisms fixed on the stationary part.
