FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: rivet has rod 1 with head 2. Axial passage 3 is made in the rod from the side of head 2. The end of the rod opposite head 2 is provided with locking pin 4 made up as a trancated cone. The side of the cone is knurled. The greater base of the cone abuts against the rod face. The diameter of the circumference defined by hollows of the knurling on the lesser base 6 of the cone is equal to the diameter of axial passage 3 of rod 1. The length of the rod does not exceeds the thickness of the stack to be fastened. The rod of the rivet is set in the opening of the stack. The locking pin is pressed in passage 3. The cross-piece at the greater base of the pin cone breaks down and the rod material moves over periphery of the knurling. In so doing, the closing head is formed and the stack is fixed.
