FIELD: investigation of structure of conducting porous bodies by determination of electrochemical parameters such as specific surface, pore radius and distribution of surface by pore radii for porous absorbents, catalysts and electrodes applicable in chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method for determination of structure characteristics of porous conducting materials includes measurement of capacity of double electrical layer by application of pulses of triangular sweep in the range of potential sweep speed from 1·10-5 to 5·10-1 V/s. Expansion of the range of potential sweep speed and use of formula given in the invention description allow rapid calculation of specific surface, pore radii and distribution of surface by pore radii.
