SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes demonstrating test objects made in the form of strips offering sinusoidal distribution of contrast which should be gradually changed within range of 0.02 to 1.0 at rate either equal to or lower than 2.0 cycle/s using opponent colors, showing test objects with either increasing or decreasing angular dimensions in zone of near, intermediate and distant optical settings and using test objects with orientation corresponding their axes in case of astigmatism.
