FIELD: preparation of liquid dielectrics, lubricants, liquid seals, and the like. SUBSTANCE: polyperfluoropropylene oxide is obtained by copolymerization of hexofluoropropylene and oxygen at 30-65 C in the presence of a fluorine initiator. Copolymerization is carried out at a ratio of (0.1-1.1): (98.9-99.9) by volume under continuous or periodic conditions. The process is carried out in the purence of an inert gas at a fluorine to oxygen to inert gas ratio of (0.1-2.5):(20-40):(57.5-79.9) by volume, respectively to obtain polyperfluoropropylene oxide having low molecular weight distribution and a molecular weight of more than 1000.
