FIELD: industrial production of monocrystals by electrothermic treatment. SUBSTANCE: method involves making datum cut on single crystal in parallel with generatrix of crystal cylindrical surface; placing crystal into furnace in horizontal position, with datum cut oriented upward, between platinum electrodes having predetermined shape and sizes; filling spaces between crystal and electrodes with lithium niobate powder; conducting electrothermic treatment of monocrystal. Horizontal position of crystal and shape of electrodes prevent lithium niobate powder from spilling and provides improved contact in the process of supplying polarization voltage without need for usage of additional devices. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of monocrystal. 1 dwg
