FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for driving insulating plates into brickwork consists of striking hammer with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric drive. Striking piston of the drive affects end side of the insulating plate through clamping cheek. Clamping cheek is formed of a rod coming into guide channel of the striking hammer, and a clamp clamping the insulating plate. In order to reduce total length of the device and decrease danger of tool downfall guide channel in the striking hammer is of a little smaller diameter than this of the striking piston. Rod is of the same diameter at the section between striking piston and portion of transition into clamp of clamping cheek. Besides, guide channel is shortened due to lack of device to prevent tool against falling down. The striking hammer may be installed horizontally, immovable on moving skeleton equipped with wheels with axle moved in horizontal plane, but enables to be replaced in vertical direction. Pneumatic or hydraulic actuating cylinder is provided for resting the moving skeleton. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 6 dwg
