ANCHOR DRILLING HAMMER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: drilling machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: this device is intended for combination drilling of anchor holes and blast holes. This is hydraulic drilling hammer installed on carriage and it is used for making bore-holes in underground mining openings and also in construction of tunnels. Hammer has striking piston performing reciprocating motions inside hammer body. Also provided is turning mechanism. Drilling rod has coupling end which can enter tail-piece in front part of drilling hammer. Tail-piece is made in the form of bush with internal thread corresponding to external thread of drilling rod. Hammer is provided with hermetically sealed sleeve for side washing with water inlet passage. Front part of drilling hammer has turning lever with releasing grip which is mated with hexahedron of drilling rod. Lever is adapted for turning between panel of movement for guide members of drilling rod and drilling rod itself. Aforesaid embodiment of drilling hammer makes its operation more reliable.
