OPTICAL SIGHT HOLDER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical devices used for attachment of optical sights on small arms and sporting guns. SUBSTANCE: mounting assembly of optical sight holder is made up of two plates fastened together by screws, receiving pins, adjusting screws with lock-nuts. Plate carries a trapezoidal base having side faces of the dovetail shape. A bearing with a clamp is positioned on the base. Retaining assembly has a spindle located in the plate opening; axle with a knob with retaining members secured at its end; spring-loaded ball positioned in one of the handle hollows. A stop is secured on the spindle end, the stop end enters the plate groove. The plates are installed on the arms frame and tightened by common screws. The bearing groove is placed on the trapezoidal base by fitting it on the spring-loaded stop. The bearing carries the sight, which is pressed with fastening screws by means of the clamp. The retainer knob turns the axle until it sinks into the recess on the spindle thus fixing the holder position. The sight position at shooting-in-can be readjusted by adjusting screws, having first slackened the screws. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 dwg
