FIELD: medicine; geophysics; archeology; construction; defectoscopy. SUBSTANCE: metal detector has an alternating current generator, a variable reluctance pickup, a synchronous detector, inphase and quadrature components, two direct component filters, a full- wave rectifier, a summer, and two pointer-type indicators. The detector detects small metal ferromagnetic as well as non-ferromagnetic objects, and provides a means for detection of ferromagnetism. EFFECT: higher sensitivity; convenience in use. 1 dwg
