FIELD: medicine, in particular, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: device has ferroprobe transducer including handle which carries indicator of location of sensitive half-elements made in the form of cores with coils. Device also has metal nonmagnetic protective casing. Sensitive half-elements are positioned in casing on nonmetallic panel, in one plane, orthogonally to longitudinal axis of transducer, and in parallel to each other. Coils of their windings are interconnected gradientometrically through switch positioned on face panel of device and connected to electric measuring unit of device. Three holes are made on one side of protective casing wall, and two holes are made on opposite side. Centers of holes are aligned with magnetic axes of half-elements. The latter are installed with clearance to wall having two holes. Device provides for elimination of false signal caused by presence of geomagnetic field and for correction of nonparallelism of half-element magnetic axes. EFFECT: unambiguous signal formation. 1 cl, 1 dwg
