FIELD: compact tape recorders for speech recording. SUBSTANCE: method involves conversion of continuous flow of information to one interrupted with pauses. This is achieved by means of tape transport with corrugation unit, mechanisms for clamping tape carrier and for deflection of tape transport. Interrupted flow of information is played by means of additional reading head with recording speed. Method provides possibility of slow playing of information without distortion in signal spectrum.
