FIELD: devices for recording on magnetic tape. SUBSTANCE: information is transmitted from parts of tape to tape-copy by means of pressing the working layer of source tape and tape-copy in alternating magnetic field. Metal magnetic tape from ferric-nickel-chrome alloy can be used as tape-copy. One side of such tape is pressed against working layer of source tape, another one is pressed against metal tape which is made from magnetically soft material (Permalloy). EFFECT: increased functional capabilities.
