SUBSTANCE: measurement technique involves shaping of setting signal and signal proportional to instant values of load current, shaping of error signal by comparing setting signal with signal proportional to instant values of load current, error signal polarity determination, shaping of steady-frequency clock pulses, storage of error signal polarity at moment of clock pulse shaping, its comparison with error signal polarity at moment of preceding clock pulse shaping, shaping of inverter valves change-over signals in response to changes in error signal polarity by opening closed valves of inverter by leading edge of clock pulses and closing open valves of inverter by trailing edge of clock pulses; clock pulse length is assumed as τ≥ τo,, where τo is time required to open closed valve.
