FIELD: mechanical treatment of fur. SUBSTANCE: device has shearing shaft and immovable plate-like knife. Rotary shearing knife bears on its working surface several uniformly fixed knives around the circumference. Each knife has working edge equidistant from the shaft axis and making cutting angle with a plane running through the shaft axis. The immovable plate-like knife has straight line working edge running in parallel to the shaft axis in the plane tangential to the working edges of every longitudinal shearing shaft knife. Every longitudinal knife is strip-shaped. The working edge of a strip is made of two inclined lines meeting each other in the middle of the strip at cutting angle reducing the strip width from its ends towards the middle point, forming two symmetrical trapezoid halves. Each trapezoid half of strip is set at an angle of cutting relative to the plane tangential to the strip middle area. The shearing shaft is made of two cones joined with their bases in the middle of the shaft and having vertex angle equal to twice the cutting angle.
