FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: main journal of the crankshaft of the engine has outer and inner parts. The needle bearing is interposed between the parts. The mechanism for disconnecting cylinders is constructed as a piston of square cross-section and spring-loaded rod. Shaped projection and spring-loaded bushing of square cross-section are provided at the end of the rod. The bushing encloses the rod of the piston and made, from the side of the shaped projections, as a trancated cone. The piston with the rod and bushing are received in the journal opening for permitting movement and interaction of the trancated cone of the bushing and shaped projection of the rod with conical opening and shaped groove respectively. The groove is made in the body of the other crank. The rigidity of the bushing springs exceeds the rigidity of the rod spring. EFFECT: improved design. 3 dwg
