FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion radial engines. SUBSTANCE: invention makes it possible to create standardized engine of wide application for use in sea, river, railway, road vehicles and motocycle transport and agricultural machines where engines of different power rating consisting of similar parts and units are required. Proposed engine consists of two crankcases-cylinders connected by bracing bolts. Cylinders accommodate two pairs of pistons connected by piston rods which are installed in pairs square to each other. Covers for spool-type timing systems are secured on cylinders by bracing clamps. Each pair of pistons coupled with rods is made as a whole unit in form of rod- piston. Antifriction bearings of crankshaft are installed in crankcases- cylinders. They engage by their movable holders with counterweights of power mechanism consisting of two parts. Pair of eccentrics with different-direction eccentricity and counterweights of eccentrics is mounted on crankpin of crankshaft on sliding bearings. Eccentrics are installed on holes enclosed by hub in middle part of rods-pistons. Inner surfaces of middle part of crankshaft- cylinders serve as guides for rods-pistons. Said components form engine module. Engine can be provided with one or several modules, as well. Engine is furnished with reduction gear placed in sectional timing system control housing and is mechanically coupled with said systems. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 18 cl, 1 tbl, 19 dwg
