FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger has housing with seals, tension members, and heat exchanging members mounted inside the housing. The heat exchanging members are made up as twin plates to define spaces. The housing is made up as a rectangular parallelepiped. Supplying and discharging branch pipes for one of the fluids to be heat exchanged are arranged on one pair of opposite sides. The other pair of the opposite sides is provided with ports plugged with detachable covers. The plates are rigidly secured to the inner side of the covers. Collecting and distributing manifolds are arranged on outer sides of the covers and are in communication with the plate spaces. The plate spaces are made up as [ shaped and M-shaped passageways.
