FIELD: food industry; thermal treatment of milk and other products. SUBSTANCE: device operates as follows. Raw milk is delivered through hole 5 in lower section into under-plate space. Having passed through lower section, milk gets through hole 1 and bridge 16 into over-plate space of second section and so on. Other medium (pasteurized milk, brine, hot water, depending on application of heat exchanger) is delivered through hole 5 of top section and, having passed through its over-plate space, gets through hole 8 in housing and bridge 16 into under-plate space of adjacent section and so on. This provides required movement of media in opposite flows. To provide mechanical cleaning of surfaces pressure nut 15 is backed off and sections are stripped down.
