FIELD: material testing. SUBSTANCE: sample includes welds 1,2 placed at acute angle to faces of sample between edges of side slots 3,4 and slot 5 in wide face of sample. Slot 5 is cut at acute angle to narrow faces 6,7 of sample and welds 1,2 are arranged in parallel to each other and perpendicular to central slot 5. Sample is loaded by application of tensile or compression forces P till sample is broken by sections with welds 1,2. Breaking load is fixed. Measurements of displacement deformations of welds 1, 2 are also taken. EFFECT: increased informativity by provision of estimation of strength of weld with combination of tangential stresses both with tensile and compressing normal stresses, measurement of displacement deformations of welds. 1 dwg
