FIELD: food industry, cosmetics. SUBSTANCE: maltol is prepared from the waste of carbonic acid extracts of Abies sibirica. Abies sibirica pawl is milled, miscells were extracted, filtered. Residue after filtration is mixed with silica gel at the mass ratio 1:(1-2) and sublimated in air flow at 140-160 C for 6-7 hr. EFFECT: ecologically safety method of maltol preparing.
