FIELD: agriculture; biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: cucumber plants are grown predominantly on multitier narrow-rack hydroponic installations. The method involves sowing, cultivation, and harvesting. Tops are pinched out before two lateral shoots develop, and after development of one leaf on each lateral shoot, they are pinched out. The plants are grown until every lateral shoot develops two lateral shoots of the second order with one leaf, then one lateral shoot of the second order on every first order shoot is pinched out. The plants are grown until the pinched shoots of the second order develop two lateral shoots of the third order with two leaves on each shoot, then they are grown until formation of fruit on all shoots of the third order as well as on the second order shoots that have not been pinched out. EFFECT: higher crop yielding ability. 3 dwg
