FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: formaldehyde is reacted with phenol, urea, melamine or aniline in the presence of alkali metal hydroxide at the boiling temperature of the reaction mixture for 20-120 min. The starting components are passed through a circulation system comprising a reactor mixer; a heat exchanger and a pump having a circulation ratio which is sufficient to afford the equality of parameters throughout the entire volume of the system. EFFECT: more efficient preparation process. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
