BLAST FURNACE TUYERE DEVICE NOZZLE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2048528 C1

FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, blast furnace pig-iron production. SUBSTANCE: blast furnace tuyere device nozzle is used to transfer blast stream from movable tuyere branch pipe into tuyere. Nozzle has lined inside metal cylindrical body 1 with two butt flanges 2, 3, located on butts edges. Flanges have polished ball-type recesses in places of nozzle touching other parts of tuyere device. Nozzle lining is made of separate lining members 4 of cylindrical form, coming in engagement with each other with the help of truncated bulges. Lining members outer side has longitudinal canals, cross-section of which has form of semi-circumference with diameter, that is equal to 0.6 0.8 of lining thickness. Axes of canals are spaced by 1.5 3 their diameters. In the case butt flanges have ring-type cavities, connected to each other by longitudinal canals. Ring-type cavity of one flange is connected with branch pipe 5 for natural gas feeding. Another flange has ring-type aiming injector 6 and ring-type cavity in its body is used as receiving chamber of the injector. EFFECT: increased pig-iron production. 3 dwg
