FIELD: metallurgy; recovery of metals from solutions. SUBSTANCE: metals extracted from ores are dissolved in a liquid and metal is absorbed from said solution by an adsorbent. Then adsorbent is separated and metal is separated therefrom. A novelty resides in that adsorbent and solvent are constituted, respectively, by crushed ice or snow and nonfreezing liquid. EFFECT: simplification and cheapening of process.
