FIELD: purification of water against microorganisms. SUBSTANCE: anion exchange material which contains groups of strong base as groups being capable to produce iodine-containing complexes during reaction is conditioned and iodinated. Iodine is removed of thus treated material, the process is carried out till oxidizing iodine is absent in washing water. Condition of polymer being preliminary swelled takes place with the help of alkali solutions and chloride of alkali metal or hydrochloric acid. Solution of polyiodide is used as iodinating agent. After iodination reaction mixture is allowed to stand within 8-10 h at normal temperature. Desired material represents improved disinfectant. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method, improves quality of desired product.
