FIELD: obtaining of metal coatings. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying 10-15 micron-thick layer of aluminum on threaded portions of thermozinc-plated tubes; heating to 620-650 C and holding at this temperature till intermetallic layer of aluminum-iron-zinc alloy with the thickness of 1-3 micron is formed. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of treated surface. 1 tbl
