FIELD: production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: mixture for aluminum electrolyzers contains alumina and sodium-aluminum fluorides. Alumina is taken in form of finely divided one with particles sizing 10-20 mcm. Mixture has the following qualitative and quantitative composition, mas. sodium-aluminum fluorides 10-20; the balance, finely divided alumina with particles sizing 10-20 mcm. EFFECT: reduced consumption of aluminum and fluoride salts, and higher efficiency of electrolysis. 1 tbl
