DEVICE FOR TESTING RADIATOR FOR TICHTNESS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2049317 C1

FIELD: tests for tightness. SUBSTANCE: device has radiator accumulator 2 wherefrom radiator is fed to two-chain conveyer 4 by means of power cylinder 3; arranged inside conveyer 4 are hoist-lower tables 23,24 and 25 which are hoisted by means of vertical power cylinder. When getting on table 23, radiator is hoisted to one of testing frames 15, 16, 17 by means of vertical power cylinder and is clamped by means of clamping cylinder, after which frame is hoisted from position parallel to conveyer 4 to vertical position by means of cylinder 20. Frame for receiving the radiator is chosen by signal fed from memory unit to input of selection unit taking into account initial position of cylinder 27 of conveyer 4. After the frame has been brought to vertical position, its logic circuit cuts in the valve feeding water to radiator held in this frame and air escape valve. Time relay is cut in for period of radiator holding during which logic circuit cuts in the frame turning cylinder. Signal showing state of radiator (SERVICEABLE, LEAK) is furnished from control panel to one of control units of frame wherefrom it is fed to sorter unit through OR gate and simultaneously to time relay which determines the time required for draining water from radiator. Then signal for delivery of next radiator is furnished from output of one of control units to memory unit. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 6 dwg
