FIELD: electrified railways. SUBSTANCE: semiconductor pill diode rated for 2000 A is clamped between coaxial electrodes. Upper electrode is electrically coupled with contact rod through dome-shaped metallic portion of housing, contact rod being secured in central hole outside the housing. Lower electrode is connected with contact rod mounted on dielectric disk. To prevent moisture from getting inside the housing use is made of bridge between blind coaxially arranged threaded holes intended for fitting upper electrode and end of contact rod. EFFECT: increased reliability of grounding, reduced overall dimensions of device, cut down expenses for manufacture, mounting and repair. 1 dwg
