FIELD: refractory industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves joint grinding of hump sodium silicate and part of chamotte followed by mixing of ground product with remaining chamotte and mixing water, forming and setting of products from the resulting mixture, grinding the product to a specific area of 440-470 sq.m/kg, introducing in the course of grinding 9.8-16.3% of total mass of chamotte and, additionally, portland cement and superplasticizer C-3 based on sodium salts of the product of condensation of naphthalenesulfoacid and formaldehyde. The resulting concrete mixture comprises the following proportions of the above-mentioned components, wt.-% chamotte, 82.4-89.0; hump sodium silicate, 2-4; portland cement, 2-4; superplasticizer C-3, 1.0-1.6; water, the balance. The products are set under normal conditions. The material is ground in a ball mill, concrete mixture is prepared in a forced-mixing concrete mixer and the products are formed by traditional methods. Refractory concretes are characterized by compressive strength of 31.2-37.6 MPa; depth of impregnation with liquid pitch, 0.4-0.9 mm; refractoriness, 1730 C. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
