FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: sediments in settling tank chamber 5 are washed with water from siphon 8 into preliminarily emptied chamber 5. For this purpose, before washing, gate 4 is raised in channel 7 to supply flushing discharge, and gate 9 of flushing gallery 12, and gates 3 and 11 are lowered. Siphon 8 is charged to supply water jets to chamber 5 to loosen sediments which are removed over flushing gallery 12. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
