FLEXIBLE HARROW Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2050081 C1

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has frame 1 with turnable bracket on flange of which brake clutch is installed. Replaceable ends of chain links are connected by intermediate toothed clutch on which ripping teeth 43 are mounted. Length of ripping teeth exceeds length of chain teeth. Frame is made of telescopic rods arranged in vertical plane. Lower rod is connected with holder, and upper rod is made in form of hydraulic cylinder secured in holders made in form of runners. Fin plates are rigidly secured on runners. With harrow being towed along field, teeth penetrate soil and harrow, rolling over, cultivates the surface. When harrow meets an obstacle, toothed clutch operates which provides for cleaning of teeth from weeds. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, increased efficiency and quality of multipurpose surface tillage of soil with different physical and mechanical properties by means of provision of noncoincidence of peripheral and linear velocities of harrow ripping teeth independently on each section of chain. 4 cl, 14 dwg
