FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: device for growing plants is provided with a cultivation system. The system has vegetative units 3. The units are triangular frames supporting trays 5 with plants 6. The device is provided with an insect control system. The system has louver screens 10 running parallel with the trays above them. The system also has UV-radiation sources mounted over screens 10 between units 3. The louvers of screens 10 are mounted for turning, and they are fabricated from some material that is transparent to visible light and non-transparent to UV rays. The device allows for effective control of whiteflies in a greenhouse without using chemicals. EFFECT: higher efficiency; more effective control of insect pests. 1 dwg
