FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: gearbox has drive and driven shafts and step gear ratio changer mechanism. Ball drive is made in form of two driving gears with hemispherical projections on end face surfaces and two pairs of driven gears one of which has external and internal gear rims and semiellipsoidal cavities on circumference of side surface. Drum with internal gear rim is installed in housing on bearings. Second pair of driven gears is made integral with drum. Long axes of semiellipsoidal cavities on driven gears are arranged at angle to tangent line of pitch circle of corresponding gear. Step gear ratio changer mechanism is made in form of springs and hydraulic jacks. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 3 dwg
