FIELD: storage and transportation. SUBSTANCE: wide-neck container made of thermoplastic has conical section of housing making it possible to stack containers one into the other. Container has also stiffening ring located below container flange and bottom ring. Method of manufacture of wide-neck container comes to the following. First twin closed housing of container with two conical sections, two flanges and one middle ring is made by blown extrusion method. Housing is taken out of mould and is cut into two containers along middle ring, and the latter is press-fitted in hot state onto cooled container. According to other version of manufacture stiffening rings are blown out together with blowing out of twin housing. For this purpose stiffening ring blanks are previously driven into mould and placed at a certain distance from flanges. Stiffening rings are injection moulded from plastic granulate.
